Brick pre-apprenticeship is a 6-week program that is designed to teach someone with zero to minimal experience in the brick trade the basics of beginning work. It is structured to help adapt you to real work in the field. This means that classes are Monday-Friday, begin at 7am, and end at 3:30pm, just like your typical week on a job site. These are unpaid classes, which costs you absolutely nothing but your time and commitment, until completion at which point you will need to purchase your own set of tools to begin work.

The main requirements for attending and being successful in this program, are the same as the requirements for being successful in our trade.

  • You are committed to showing up, every day, on time – which means in the building, in your seat, and ready to begin at 7am.
  • You have your own mode of transportation – it is nearly impossible to be successful in this industry relying on others or public transit to get to and from the job sites.
  • Being mentally prepared for the physical tasks presented in this line of work – it is heavy, dirty, and labor intensive.
