The week of March 5th was Women in Construction week and it featured International Women's Day. It presented us with the opportunities to highlight all the initiatives and work of women in the industry, promote the opportunities that are available to women in construction, celebrate women's achievements, recognize challenges, and focus greater attention on women's rights.

This year we have nine current woman apprentices attending training--many of them are here for their first year. This is an increase from four last year! 

We also had two finalists for the category Outstanding Craftswoman at the Top Women in Construction Awards: journey-workers Sarah Arkeh and Jordana Stiffarm.
