We are an elite training center committed to providing our members with excellent service by offering the highest quality education and the most finely trained craftworkers in the masonry-trowel trades.
The Minnesota and North Dakota Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Journeyman and Apprentice Training Trust Fund (“Training Fund”) is a Taft-Hartley multiemployer trust fund. It is administered by The Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees is made up of eight people: four are appointed by the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local 1 Minnesota/North Dakota (“union trustees”); two are appointed by the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota and two are appointed by the Minnesota Concrete and Masonry Contractors Association (“employer trustees”).
Together, the union trustees and the employer trustees work with their staff and third-party service providers to promote, maintain and develop on the job training (OJT) programs in the Bricklayer, Tile Finisher/Layer, Pointer-Cleaner-Caulker, Terrazzo Finisher, and other allied trades for new apprentices and experienced journey workers. The Training Fund programs are registered OJT apprenticeship programs under the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry.
